Carlo and Paola De Biase
It is almost an extraordinary autobiography realized just before Don Andrea Santoro’s death: the priest from Rome that has embodied, both in his life and in his death, the tensions, the aspirations, and the tragedies of our days. On February 5, 2006, while praying in his Church in Trabzon in Turkey, Don Andrea was killed by a young Muslim. He had been in Eastern Turkey for some years, and his presence was meant to support small catholic communities and to create moments of dialogue with Orthodox believers and the great Muslim majority.
