At 1 p.m., the opening ceremony of “Magnificat’2007”, 3rd International Catholic festival of Christian films and TV programs was held at settlement Udzela. Holy Mass at the St Mary Virgin Concept was delivered. It was co-celebrated by Archbishop Marcin Vidovic, Apostolic Nuncio to Belarus, Alexander Kashkevich, Bishop of Grodno and Chairman of the Catholic Bishops Conference in Belarus, Bishop Anton Demyanko, Apostolic Administrator of the Minsk-Mogilev Archdiocese, and Vladislav Blin, Bishop of Vitebsk. |

MAGNFICAT, the 3d International Catholic Festival of Christian Films and TV Programs, is being opened at a ceremony in settlement Udzela. The festival guests and participants have visited the museum dedicated to Holy Maximilian Kolbe. At the St Mary Virgin Concept church the Holy Mass is going on.   MAGNIFICAT'2007, the 3rd International Catholic Festival of Christian Films and TV Programs, started on 20 June. Participants and guests arrived to Glybokaye in the afternoon. Iouri Goroulev, festival’s chairman, thanked the local authorities for hospitality and presented the jury members: Kristina Lyalko, editor-in-chief of the Our Faith magazine, Galina Shur, a film expert, Oleg Vinyarski, a Belarusian radio company reader, Fr. Andrei Zaichik, Arkadi Shpunt, a restorer, Vladimir Moroz, editor-in-chief of the Letapis studio, and Tatiana Dubovets, a journalist from Lithuania. |
